AP9 Value Max, IK9 Value Max Offers Tips for Conserving Fuel
AP9 Value Max, IK9 Value Max, a membership discount program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, reports that while the price of gas continues to fluctuate, this country is unlikely to see prices drop below $2.00 ever again. Even as experts debate exactly when “peak oil” might begin, AP9 ValueMax, IK9 Value Max encourages consumers to conserve as much fuel as possible -- right now.
As AP9 Value Max, IK9 Value Max explains, “peak oil” refers to the point at which extraction of oil from the earth reaches its highest point and then begins to decline. Oil, of course, is a finite resource, and it’s believed that most, if not all, of the biggest oil fields on the planet have already been identified and are currently being drilled.
With the two most populous countries on the planet, China and India, in the midst of rapid economic growth, their demand for oil is forecast to increase significantly over the next twenty years. Coupled with predictions of greater U.S. demand for oil over the same span, AP9 Value Max, IK9 Value Max notes that demand is likely to outpace supply. Barring any unexpected discovery of new fields to mine, gas prices can therefore be expected to continue to rise in the coming years.
AP9 ValueMax, IK9 Value Max knows that the recent rise in fuel prices is already cutting into most people’s household budgets. Not only are consumers getting hit at the pumps, they’re also getting hit on home heating oil bills and other products and services that rely on oil.
AP9 Value Max, IK9 Value Max therefore offers a few tips on how to conserve your fuel consumption:
1. Schedule regular car tune-ups. The better you maintain your car, the more fuel-efficient it is.
2. Keep an eye on your tire pressure. Under-inflated tires increase your fuel consumption (and tend to wear down your tires faster).
3. Gas up in the early morning or late evening. Cooler temperatures make gas denser, which means you get more gas for your volume.
4. Stick to the speed limit. Not only is it true that “fifty-five saves lives,” but cars going seventy miles an hour burn up twenty to twenty-five percent more fuel than cars traveling at fifty-five miles per hour. Avoiding the sharp accelerations and sudden braking that higher speeds often require will also increase your fuel efficiency.
5. Keep your car’s roof clean whenever possible. Roof racks, ski or bike racks and cargo racks create “drag” that dramatically affects your vehicle’s aerodynamics -- and your gas mileage.
6. Clear your car of clutter. Extra weight -- in the form of golf clubs, bowling balls, “emergency” suitcases full of wardrobe changes, and other detritus -- can also reduce your fuel efficiency.
7. Park it. If you plan to stay in one place for more than a minute, you’ll save gas by turning your engine off.
8. Bask in the warmth. Car air conditioners can cut your gas mileage by up to twenty percent, so try to use it only in extreme conditions. Remember, though, that cruising at higher speeds with the windows down can also decrease your fuel efficiency by about ten percent. Keep your vents open whenever possible to keep a breeze blowing through your car.
9. Plan your errands. Map out a route that gets you to and from your chosen locations as efficiently as possible.
10. Share the ride. Join a carpool, or check out your local public transportation -- buses, trains, subways, etc. -- which can save you both time and money, especially as gas prices increase.
